Get your rods, reels, and tackle ready! The Halton Storage & Boat Club Annual Salmon Derby returns this August for an action-packed weekend of fishing on Lake Ontario.
Whether you’re a seasoned salmon angler or bringing the next generation out for their first derby, we invite you to join us for three days of fishing, prizes, raffles, and friendly competition!
📅 Derby Dates
Friday, August 28 – Sunday, August 30, 2026
Anglers can fish throughout the weekend, with our official weigh station open daily from 5:00 AM to 9:00 PM.
☕ Friday Morning – Free Coffee!
We’re kicking off the derby bright and early! Free coffee will be available to derby anglers Friday morning until 12:00 PM.

🎣 Derby Divisions
Adult Division (19+)
Entry: $55 + HST for a single OR $105 + HST for a boat ticket.
Compete for the largest salmon of the derby, along with recognition and prizes for the largest catch of the day.
Youth Division – (18 & Under)
Entry: $25 + HST
Our youth division is open to anglers 18 years old and under, competing for the largest trout or salmon of the derby.
We want to encourage young anglers to get out on the water and experience Lake Ontario fishing!

Halton Storage & Boat Club 1155 Beach Blvd, Hamilton, Ontario
This will be the only official weigh station for the derby.
⏰ Scales Open Daily
5:00 AM – 9:00 PM
Bring your qualifying catch to Halton Storage & Boat Club during scale hours to have it officially weighed and entered.
